Shipyard supervision and refit coordination – Sardinia
Your yacht is in the yard and you are far away. I look after the scope, quality and timing of the work on your behalf, so the boat is ready in spring and the invoice matches what was agreed.
I am based in Capoterra (Cagliari) and work with shipyards across Sardinia. Reports in English, Italian or Polish.
A technical partner in your talks with the yard
As a marine electrician I know the equipment, the systems and how long jobs really take. That lets me judge whether proposed extra work is needed, whether a quote is reasonable and whether a job was done properly – before you pay.
Before work starts
Inspection of the yacht and the work list, help defining the scope, comparing yard quotes and agreeing the schedule. A clear work list at the start means fewer disputes at the end.
Checks during the work
Regular yard visits, quality and compliance checks against what was agreed, a photo report after every visit. I verify extra work before you approve it.
Handover and launch
System tests and measurements, a snag list, a check of documentation and warranties, and attendance at the launch and first start-up.
Electrical and onboard systems
On electrical work, power systems, generators and onboard plumbing I check details another supervisor might miss. If needed, I do this work myself.
A report you can understand
After each visit you get a short report: what was done, what is delayed, what extra work is proposed and my recommendation. With photos, in your language.

How often do you visit the yacht in the yard?
It depends on the scope – usually once a week, more often at key stages. We agree the visit schedule at the start.
Do you talk to the yard on my behalf?
Yes, within the limits we agree. Decisions on cost and scope are always yours – I prepare the information and a recommendation.
Can you choose the yard?
I can help: compare offers, check scope and timing, and advise. The final choice and the contract with the yard are yours.
Do you carry out part of the work yourself?
If you wish, yes – especially electrical work and onboard systems. We then agree it separately, so it is clear what the yard does and what I do.
How is supervision charged?
Per visit or per working day, under my terms of service. For longer projects I prepare a quote for the whole works period.
