Silnie skorodowana winda kotwiczna jachtu podczas diagnostyki instalacji za granicą

"You return to your yacht after a few weeks away — maybe in Croatia, maybe in Greece, maybe anywhere else in Europe. You open the cabin: dark, quiet, and a smell wafts from the fridge that no one wants to experience as the first impression upon boarding. You connect to shore power, and the breakers trip within seconds. It was supposed to be a peaceful start to your stay on your own yacht, but instead, you find yourself on deck wondering whom to call — a random person from the nearest marina or someone who really knows about yacht electrics."

I travel to yachts across Europe and the Mediterranean — sometimes I drive, sometimes I fly — to fix a breakdown, complete a planned upgrade, or simply to be on-site before a malfunction ruins your time on board. There have been instances when I arrived within 24 hours of the report, depending on the location and flight availability — this isn't the rule for every call, but it shows how seriously I take urgent situations.

Lightning-fast diagnostic interventions

"Blown fuses after connecting to shore power, a dead fridge, no power throughout the yacht — this is usually not just one failure, but a symptom of something deeper in the system. I travel to the location to diagnose and fix the problem before it ruins the rest of your time on the yacht. I often start the diagnosis even before I arrive — based on photos and descriptions of the symptoms you send me — so I can act immediately on-site instead of just beginning the search."

Your time on board is too valuable to waste on breakdowns.

If you go yachting a few times a year, the last thing you want to do on those days is wait for a random technician or try to find the fault in the distribution board yourself. The priority is to quickly restore the yacht to a state where you can use it normally — not postponing repairs until the next visit, but solving the problem before it ruins the rest of your stay.

Modernizations and outbound implementations

Fly-in is not just for sudden breakdowns. I also carry out planned upgrades to installations — a new LiFePO4 battery bank, Victron Energy integration, and enhancements to navigation electronics — remotely, throughout the entire Mediterranean basin and in Europe, wherever your yacht happens to be. You don’t have to wait for the vessel to return to Sardinia to do what was already planned.

Supply and delivery of materials

A common problem when working abroad: a needed component (Victron Energy, plotter, filter set, specific piece of navigation electronics) is not available locally. I take on the sourcing and importing of such parts — they arrive with me, either upon my arrival or during a service flight. For larger projects, I can also handle the logistics of orders and deliveries as a separate service if you need coordination of parts without my physical presence on site. Years of running an online store for technical yacht supplies, elektrykajachtowa.pl, have given me the experience and capabilities to fulfill the most challenging orders.

Why it's worth calling someone who already knows your yacht

The biggest waste of time when dealing with a breakdown far from base is not the travel — it’s explaining from scratch to a stranger how your system works. As someone who designs and services yacht electrical systems daily, rather than just fixing whatever happens to come my way, I board already understanding what to look for. This is the difference between hours of diagnosing from zero and making a specific repair often on the same day.

Range

"I am based in the Cagliari area of Sardinia, but I carry out service trips throughout the entire Mediterranean basin — Italy, Croatia, Greece, the Canary Islands, Spain — and more broadly across Europe, depending on the scale of the project and the yacht's location. Let me know where your vessel is located, and we will establish logistical possibilities."

A breakdown away from the base doesn't have to mean wasted time on the yacht. Just let me know where your yacht is and what's happening — I'll tell you right away whether it's a drive or a flight, and how quickly I can get there.

Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly can you get to the location in case of an emergency?

It depends on the yacht's location and flight availability — send me a message describing the situation and the docking place, and I will let you know how quickly I can get there. There have been times when I arrived within 24 hours of the request, if circumstances allowed.

Are you only dealing with emergencies, or also with planned work abroad?

Both. Fly-in includes both urgent interventions and planned upgrades or inspections — if you know in advance that your yacht will be in a particular port, we can schedule a visit right away.

What if a component is needed that is not available on-site?

I will take care of the delivery — the component arrives with me. For larger projects, I can also coordinate orders and deliveries independently, without a physical visit, if that is more convenient.

What countries and regions does the travel service cover?

Italy (including Sardinia), Croatia, Greece, the Canary Islands, and other European countries depending on the project — write where you are, and I will confirm the coverage for your location.

Can I call you if you haven't worked on my yacht before?

Yes — I start the diagnosis remotely, based on photos and a description of the issue, even before arrival, so I don't waste time on the basics on site. You don't need to have a prior history of collaboration, although it certainly speeds things up.
