Yacht electrician in Calasetta, Carloforte and Sant'Antioco

The Sulcis islands are some of the best sailing in Sardinia, but there are few technicians on site. I reach Sant'Antioco and Calasetta in about an hour and a quarter from Capoterra; Carloforte adds the ferry from Calasetta or Portovesme. So I plan dedicated days and group several boats when possible.

Calasetta, my home port

My own boat is berthed in Calasetta harbour, so I am here often and happy to take jobs on site. If your boat is in Calasetta or on the islands, I can often combine the visit with a trip to my boat.

Typical jobs on the islands

• salt corrosion: oxidised connectors, terminals and lugs, contacts that fail in damp weather;
• autopilots, plotters and instruments losing signal or switching off under way;
• battery charging on boats that spend weeks at anchor;
• navigation and anchor lights that are not compliant or not working;
• winterisation for boats staying in the island harbours.

How we plan it

You send photos and a description, we do a first remote diagnosis and I bring the parts with me, so one visit is usually enough.

How it works

1. Send me a WhatsApp message: boat type, marina, what is not working, a few photos.
2. I reply with a first assessment and, if needed, we arrange an inspection on board.
3. You get a quote with a timeframe. For larger jobs I ask for a 50% deposit on labour.
4. I work on board and at the end we sign the job handover report. Labour comes with a 12-month warranty.
