About me

I am Grzegorz Szubert, a marine electrician based in Capoterra, about half an hour from Cagliari harbour. I work on board, at the pontoon, with the boat afloat or ashore in the yard. I am an ABYC member and work to marine electrical standards.

Typical jobs in Cagliari

Many boats stay in the water all year, so most problems come from long periods alongside:

• flat or damaged batteries after winter, chargers and alternators not charging properly;
• shore power and galvanic corrosion: earthing, galvanic isolators, anodes wearing too fast;
• lithium (LiFePO4) and Victron upgrades, with the energy balance done first;
• electronics: B&G, Raymarine, Garmin, Simrad, NMEA 2000 networks dropping data;
• generators that shut down at anchor or won't start at the beginning of the season;
• pre-season checks for owners who fly in and want to sail straight away.

How it works

1. Send me a WhatsApp message: boat type, marina, what is not working, a few photos.
2. I reply with a first assessment and, if needed, we arrange an inspection on board.
3. You get a quote with a timeframe. For larger jobs I ask for a 50% deposit on labour.
4. I work on board and at the end we sign the job handover report. Labour comes with a 12-month warranty.
