Marina di Capitana, on the Quartu Sant'Elena coast, is home to many owners who keep their boat in Sardinia all year and sail mostly in summer. It is about 40 minutes from my base in Capoterra and I work there regularly.

What I do most at Capitana

• yacht care while you are away: batteries, chargers, bilge pumps and shore power, with photos and a short WhatsApp report;
• pre-season checks before you arrive: electrical system, navigation lights, windlass, instruments;
• air conditioning and watermakers that won't restart after months of rest;
• generators: routine servicing and fault finding;
• lithium batteries and solar so you can stay at anchor without running the generator.

One technician who knows your boat

When I know a boat's system, faults are found faster and cost less. I keep a record of the work done, the batteries fitted and updated diagrams, so each job starts from there.

How it works

1. Send me a WhatsApp message: boat type, marina, what is not working, a few photos.
2. I reply with a first assessment and, if needed, we arrange an inspection on board.
3. You get a quote with a timeframe. For larger jobs I ask for a 50% deposit on labour.
4. I work on board and at the end we sign the job handover report. Labour comes with a 12-month warranty.
